First introduced on November 19, 2021, at the Auto Guangzhou, the all-electric version of the Genesis GV70, the Genesis Electrified GV70 is a compact luxury crossover SUV. The Korean automobile manufacturer finally released it into the market in 2022 as a 2023 model. The 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 comes with a range of driver-centric features and a simple yet magnificently luxurious interior. But it doesn’t stop there, the Electrified GV70 is powered by two electric motors, and it comes with some serious propulsion power. The driving range isn’t as much as a Rivian R1S or a Tesla Model X, but a range of a smidge under 250 miles per charge isn’t outright bad either. If you were to compare cars in the same segment, then the GV70 Electrified is among the affordable ones and offers great value for money.

Equipped with a standard 77.4-kWh battery pack, the 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 offers up to 236 miles on a single charge. Additionally, it also comes equipped with new features such as the multi-rapid charging system, as well as the Vehicle to Load (V2L). The standard charger lets you charge the battery fully within eight hours. 7 hours and 40 minutes to be precise. The V2L or the Vehicle to Load is a feature that lets you use electrical appliances and devices at campsites or just about anywhere.

This luxury all-electric car is more than just comfort and looks, the Genesis GV70 Electrified can go from a standstill to 60 mph in under 4.2 seconds rendering it faster than the gas-powered GV70 which requires about 4.9 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. Under the right conditions, the Electrified GV70 has proven itself faster by reaching 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, but of course, this is only possible when you use Boost Mode. This all-wheel-drive comes fitted with two electric motors, and together they can generate up to 429 ponies and 516 pound-feet of torque. In the boost mode, the two electric motors bump the number up to 483 ponies which is pretty impressive.

The Electrified GV70 is the first Genesis car ever to feature an E-Terrain mode. This mode helps you maneuver the all-electric SUV on various kinds of terrain. This mode basically aids the GV70 Electrified in the distribution of driving force depending on the condition of the road. In addition to this, it also manages the ESC to make traveling on snow, sand, and generally, muddy terrains much easier. The DAS (Disconnector Actuator System) further helps in the stabilization of the electric SUV on any terrain. With this feature in place, you can drive on every terrain without hassle.
4 It Features A Great Exterior Design

Of course, as far as looks go, you should expect quite a few similarities between the ICE version of the GV70 and the Electrified GV70. The Genesis Electrified GV70 dawns a rather athletic yet minimalist look. To start off, the front of the Electrified GV70 features the Genesis Crest Grille which has been redesigned to be more aerodynamic and features an inverted G-matrix pattern and a hidden EV charging port. The rear of the GV70 Electrified looks clutter-free with the absence of a tailpipe and points out to its electric nature, while the Two-Line Quad lamps are cherries on top. The side of this electric SUV features exclusive 20-inch EV wheels, apart from bringing in a sporty look also helps in improving the regenerative braking abilities.
5 The Interiors Are Equally Beautiful

Besides having a great exterior design, the GV70 Electrified also comes with luxurious interiors. Although slightly similar to the non-electric GV70, the Electrified GV70 features a lot of recycled and sustainable materials throughout. The seats are covered with natural leather with 30 percent of it being wool-fabric which gives it an exquisite finish. Genesis took inspiration from the “Beauty of White Space” for the interior to render it all-the-more beautiful. In addition to that, the interior also features Mountain Graphic Mood Lighting which displays numerous layers of silhouettes of mountain ranges on the door trim. It also features Real Aluminum in Fog Brush patterns that help in the creation of a fog-like atmosphere when the light is reflected off the sharp crosshatched lines.
6 The Electrified Genesis GV70 Comes With Futuristic Features

All from one place. Apart from the large infotainment system, it also comes with a 12.3-inch 3D cluster with high definition screen. The Electrified GV70 also comes with a fingerprint authentication system which allows you to start the car only without the need for a key. Another feature that needs to be mentioned is the heads-up display feature that tracks the movement of the eye via built-in digital cameras that let the diver view the required information from any angle.

The 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70, with the help of the ANC-R (Active Road Noise Control technology), can help in the reduction of noise, this is done by using a plethora of sound-absorbing materials. Furthermore, the ANC-R also offers multiple driving sounds. First off, the “G-engine” is for people who want to hear the standard engine sound. Secondly, the “E-motor” sound; which is nothing but the sound of electric motors amplified. Lastly, the “futuristic” sound, which resonates with the sounds of futuristic mobility. You have the option of controlling the volume of these sounds. Apart from choosing your driving sounds, the GV70 Electrified’s Electric Active Sound Design can provide driving sounds depending on the accelerator pedal data, speed, and the driving mode.
